Barnsley College is seeking a passionate and committed GCSE Teacher to join our dedicated team. What you'll be doing
- As a GCSE Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, high quality teaching, learning and assessment that supports learners to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence.
- You will adapt your teaching approach to meet the needs of learners with a wide range of starting points, ensuring all students are supported, challenged and able to progress.
- You will monitor learner progress closely, providing clear and constructive feedback while supporting learners to overcome barriers and remain motivated.
- You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where learners feel encouraged to develop resilience, take ownership of their learning and achieve their full potential.
- In addition to teaching, you will contribute to curriculum development, support departmental activities and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across provision.
Qualifications
- Teaching qualification (must be willing to work towards Level 6 PGCE if not already held)
- Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
- 2 years' experience of working within an education setting
- Experience of delivering learning to a range of learners
- Experience of developing learning materials
