Join our friendly Estates team and play a key role in keeping our Barnsley campuses welcoming, safe and spotless. As a valued Cleaner, you’ll help maintain the high standards that make Barnsley College a great place to learn and work.
This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys early mornings and takes pride in creating clean, well-presented spaces. Working Monday to Friday, 6:00am–9:00am, you’ll ensure classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, workshops and communal areas are maintained to exceptional standards.
Responsibilities- Carrying out a wide range of cleaning duties
- Using cleaning equipment and materials confidently and safely
- Restocking supplies and managing waste responsibly
- Reporting safety or maintenance concerns promptly
- Working both independently and alongside the wider Estates team

You’ll bring- At least one year of cleaning experience in a school, college or professional setting
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Confidence in handling cleaning equipment and following Health & Safety procedures
- The ability to follow schedules and complete a variety of cleaning tasks

Required- Level 1 numeracy and literacy, or a strong willingness to achieve this qualification
- Minimum of 1 year’s cleaning experience in an educational or professional setting
