About The Role
The Barn on The Bay is a unique coastal wedding and events venue with a variety of accommodation options, including holiday cottages, camping pods, and a bunk barn. We are looking for a Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team, ensuring that all areas of our venue are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. You’ll work as part of a small, friendly team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and preparing holiday cottages, camping pods, and the bunk barn to a high standard.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the café area and wedding/event spaces before, during, and after use.
- Cleaning front and back of house areas, including kitchens, bars, and staff areas.
- Keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy, including patios, entrances, and walkways.
- Changing bedding, replenishing towels, and restocking essential supplies.
- Working efficiently as part of a team to meet turnaround times.
- Assisting with event clean-up, ensuring all areas are restored to a high standard.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damages.
About You:
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering a high standard of cleanliness.
- Comfortable working in a rural location (own transport required due to limited public transport).
- Flexible availability, including weekends, changeover days, and event days.
