About Us: Barnhill is a heavily oversubscribed, high performing school that places wellbeing and quality of life at the heart of its ethos. Barnhill performs in and around the top 5% of schools in the country and was judged to be outstanding by Ofsted in February 2024. The sixth form was judged to be a very strong aspect of the school in the inspection. Staff Wellbeing: We have a well‑thought‑out staff wellbeing programme that focuses on allowing staff to concentrate on their work without unnecessary impediment. In addition to this there is a range of supportive measures such as marking from home, wellbeing events and staff celebrations.
The Role: Barnhill Community High School is seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Psychology.
Key Responsibilities:
- To teach a timetable commensurate with the post.
- To contribute to the development of the school ethos.
- To positively contribute to the efficient and effective planning and running of the Curriculum Area.
- To plan, prepare, develop, evaluate and review lessons and teaching programmes in accordance with the school policies.
