What We’re Looking For

  • Lead whole-class learning during the planned or short-term absence of teachers.
  • Provide classroom cover across the school as required to support the effective running of the school day.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities to whole classes, small groups and individual pupils.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress and attainment.
  • Support pupils with SEND and help remove barriers to learning.
  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and school leaders.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and leaders to raise standards and improve outcomes for all pupils.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development.
  • Support the development of pupils’ confidence, independence and resilience.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, trips, enrichment activities and special events.
  • Provide guidance, support and mentoring to other support staff where appropriate.
  • Promote safeguarding and uphold the school's policies and procedures at all times.
