We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Pension Systems Analyst to join our Pension Administration team. This role will be working as part of the Penstream team, Barnett Waddingham's in-house application covering all aspects of pension administration. This is a permanent, full-time role that can be based in our Birmingham, Bristol, Cheltenham, Glasgow, Leeds or Liverpool offices on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities
- Being a Subject Matter Expert for Penstream & GMP
- Taking ownership for the delivery of systems related work for each project
- Working with BAU administration teams, GMP project administration teams, and actuaries
- Ensuring data readiness for GMP projects by analysing Penstream member data and resolving issues
- Ensuring Penstream scheme setup readiness for GMP projects by analysing the setup and resolving issues
- Running and checking system calculations to create GMP equalisation preserved benefit values
- Reviewing and importing data to create GMP equalisation pension in payment values
- Reconciling payroll changes
- Ensuring project work is fully documented for handover to BAU administration teams
- Identifying opportunities for continuous workflow process improvements
- Identifying opportunities for system development
- Working to project deadlines
- Checking the work of other team members
- Mentoring and training junior colleagues
We Would Love To Hear From If You Have
- A minimum of GCSE Grade '5' or 'C' in Mathematics and English or equivalent
- An in-depth knowledge and high level of experience of pension and payroll administration
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to an advanced level
- Holding, or studying towards, a professional qualification (e.g., 'Certificate in Pensions Calculations', 'Advance Diploma in Retirement Provision')
- A qualification in project management is desirable
