We are seeking a part-time Senior OD&T Consultant for a fixed-term contract until 31st May 2026 (may be extended) to join our Talent Team within our People & Culture Team here at Barnett Waddingham. This is a part-time offering, likely 3 days (possibly 4 days) per week.

This role can be based from our Amersham, Birmingham, Cheltenham or London office on a hybrid basis, providing you are willing to travel to other offices occasionally.

This role reports into our Head of Organisational Development & Talent and plays a critical part in delivering the Senior Talent & OD strategy by designing and delivering high-impact development solutions across the firm (for our Leadership pool). You will act as an internal consultant, role partnering with stakeholders to build capability, support organisational effectiveness, and lead key development initiatives.

A snapshot of your day:

  • Leading on firmwide talent initiatives including Senior talent cycles and succession planning pilots
  • Leading on the strategy and implementation of Senior level behavioural, professional skills and leadership development
  • Partnering with stakeholders to shape L&D and OD solutions aligned to firm priorities
  • Providing team development sessions, workshops and targeted learning interventions (virtual and in-person)
  • Advising on internal development needs and support OD initiatives, leadership programmes and capability planning
  • Contributing to the annual L&D plan, working closely with the wider Talent & OD team
  • Working collaboratively across People & Culture and the business to embed continuous learning and capability development

We would love to hear from if you have:

  • Proven experience in a similar Learning & Development or Organisational Development role
  • Proven experience with the design and implementation of senior level leadership development and succession planning pilots
  • Expert facilitator with expertise in behavioural skills development
  • Experience of working with talent evaluation tools, psychometric testing and senior development cohorts / coaching at senior level
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to consult and influence
  • Excellent communication, planning and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working across disciplines and contributing to firmwide initiatives
  • Excellent understanding of behavioural development, stakeholder engagement, and talent strategy is essential
