We have an exciting opportunity for a Reward Assistant to join our People & Culture Team in Bristol or Cheltenham (hybrid working).

The People & Culture teams main presence is in Cheltenham and Bristol. The team provide a full HR service to the Firm encompassing Resourcing and Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Reward & People Solutions, Organisational Development & Talent and Employee Experience & Engagement. The Total Rewards team covers all aspects of remuneration and benefits for our employees – from company-wide processes such as the annual salary review, bonus review and flexible benefits through to managing the payroll and general day-to-day employee pay and benefit queries. The Reward Assistant will report into the Senior Rewards Advisor – Compensation with a dotted line into the Benefits and Wellbeing Manager.

A snapshot of your day:

  • Support key compensation processes such as bonus, promotions and annual salary review
  • Actively manage queries and responses to Reward from employees, HR colleagues and managers in a timely fashion including employee absences, family leave, sickness and annual leave queries
  • Manage monthly sickness, including processing instructions from HR system to payroll and manage apprentice pay levels.
  • Support monthly benefits processes such as reporting to flex platform and approval of benefits, and the annual flexible benefits window, including testing and communications.
  • Support payroll team with manual processes, including monthly checks and administration of the BW Pension Scheme
  • Undertake general HR administrative duties such as processing invoices, letter production, filing.
  • Proactively support HR Business Lead, Total Reward and People Solutions on team administration and governance tasks
  • Ensure data accuracy within our HR system, creating custom reports and manipulating data to provide first level analysis
  • Actively seek out opportunities for process and service delivery improvements.

  • High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Excellent numeracy skills, comfortable working with numbers and data
  • Experience using Excel e.g., pivot tables, IF formulae and Lookups
  • Experience of using office systems such as HR databases or finance systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to pick things up quickly and handle a variety of tasks
  • A positive “can-do” attitude as a team player, with a focus on customer service and employee experience
  • An understanding of discreet professionalism and confidentiality
