What you will do

  • Communicate with clients, members and advisers via email, letter and telephone
  • Process client pension payrolls, including calculations of net pay, arranging payments, liaising with tax offices and preparing year‑end returns
  • Prepare computer‑generated benefit calculations and related correspondence
  • Attend team meetings to understand priorities and offer support as required
  • Engage in project work and other related tasks

What you will study

Working with our training provider, you will study for the Workplace Pensions Administrator Level 3 qualification. The apprenticeship programme is well structured, supported by a skills coach, mentors and line managers.

Career progression

There are many opportunities to progress beyond the apprenticeship. Apprentices often move into senior roles within Barnett Waddingham.

You should have a friendly, customer‑focused approach, good attention to detail, a positive attitude, strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, and an ability to work with numbers. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills are essential.

Entry requirements

A‑Level standard or equivalent with grade C or higher in two or more subjects, OR Minimum of five GCSEs Grade 4 (C) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
