We are seeking a Knowledge Manager to ideally join our Birmingham office; however, we will consider candidates from any of our 10 UK office locations (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, London, Glasgow, Cheltenham, Bristol, Amersham, Guildford) who are willing to travel to Birmingham occasionally. This is a permanent position with hybrid working. We welcome Bid Coordinators and Tender Assistants seeking the next step in their careers.
The Knowledge Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating various sources of information and knowledge tools to support business development activities for the Bid Team. They will provide support to subject matter experts working on new business opportunities by acting as a central contact for company information and as a conduit for work-winning information requests.
A snapshot of your day:
- Develop, manage, and analyze business development databases supporting bid activities, including company information, client testimonials, debriefs, case studies, past tenders, and presentations.
- Collaborate across the business to ensure answers are current, complete, accurate, and well-written within the content management system.
- Review bid documents to identify new answers, topics, and emerging trends.
- Support Bid Managers and Subject Matter Experts in completing bid documents and managing bid portals.
- Manage information used by our in-house AI tool for bid responses.
- Maintain good relationships with Partners, Principals, Associates, and Tender Experts.
- Support improvement initiatives and champion change within the team.
- Maintain knowledge of APMP best practices and standards.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in a similar Bids or Knowledge Management role.
- Skills in producing and editing proposal content in a complex business environment.
- Experience with coordinating and updating work management systems and Bid Libraries is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and curiosity in seeking out information.
- Qualifications such as a Degree or APMP accreditation are advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with colleagues at all levels.
- Professional services experience, especially in pension, employee benefits, risk, or insurance, is beneficial but not essential.
