Join us as a Senior Pension Administration Consultant and play a pivotal role in our high-impact onboarding and offboarding team, leading the successful implementation of schemes across the organisation. This is an exciting moment of growth and transformation, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our business as we grow further. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking, fast-evolving team where your ideas truly influence outcomes, taking the lead in key meetings with internal and external partners to maintain strong alignment and momentum. This is a permanent role that can be based in our London, Liverpool, Leeds, Guildford, Glasgow, Bristol, Cheltenham or Amersham offices working on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities:
- Support business development and bid activity by contributing technical pensions administration expertise to proposals, presentations and client meetings.
- Lead the administration workstream for new client implementations, ensuring a smooth and successful transition into Barnett Waddingham's administration services.
- Clearly define and communicate standard onboarding processes and requirements, ensuring alignment across all parties and setting accurate expectations from the outset.
- Act as Process Owner for all Onboarding/Offboarding processes.
- Identify, challenge and manage any deviation from standard onboarding processes, ensuring impacts are understood, risks are mitigated and any additional fees are agreed with the client upfront.
- Act as a role model and ambassador for adherence to onboarding processes, promoting accountability and holding stakeholders to agreed standards and timelines.
- Contribute to and champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, escalating opportunities for change, and supporting the design and implementation of improved processes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to implementation teams throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders, maintaining confidence and engagement throughout the transition process.
- Collaborate with administration, technology, actuarial and project delivery teams to ensure implementation milestones are achieved.
- Identify and proactively resolve issues that could impact onboarding timescales, service quality or client experience.
- Ensure all onboarding activities are delivered in line with regulatory requirements, governance standards and Barnett Waddingham's quality expectations.

- Leading high performing commercially driven teams preferably in a pension administration (or similar) background.
- Experience in process improvement and change.
- Strong IT skills to perform all aspects of work efficiently.
