Adults In-Patient Occupational Therapy Lead, London Borough of Haringey

Job Overview

The Acute Occupational Therapy Inpatient Team provides assessment and treatment programmes to clients on three Adults inpatient wards (Sunflower, Tulip, and Daisy). The team offers specialist therapy assessments and a needs-led, client-centred activity and therapy programme both on the wards and in the therapy department nearby.

Clients often present with acute or enduring mental health symptoms, sometimes with co-existing physical diagnoses. Some clients are detained under the Mental Health Act and require support in reintegration into the community post-admission.

The role involves functional assessments and providing professional advice that informs risk assessments and discharge plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
