About the role
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join the sustainability team as we prepare and support Barnet to become a net zero borough by 2042. We are looking for an ambitious individual capable of delivering on our transformative agenda on sustainability, to establish collaborative partnerships and lead projects which enable an innovative place-based pathway to decarbonisation. We want to encourage residents to âJoin us on our journey to becoming one of Londonâs most sustainable broughsâ, this role will play a key part in supporting this vision, enabling warmer healthy homes in the borough, resilient neighbourhoods and a just transition. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, bringing passion, innovative ideas, and valuable experience and knowledge, to join our ambitious sustainability team to make a meaningful impact across the borough.

About you
- Significant technical expertise and experience of delivering complex programmes to support sustainability and climate programmes, decarbonisation and behaviour change, on time and to budget
- Experience of working with stakeholders from the public, community and private sectors on shared projects, ideally in the fields of sustainability and energy in local government
- Proven experience of developing a strong network of contacts within the public and private sectors
