About The Role
As an Intelligence Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the prevention, detection, and investigation of crime across Barnet. Working closely with the Community Safety Team (CST) and Corporate Anti-Fraud Team (CAFT), you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and disseminating intelligence and data to support enforcement and community safety initiatives.
You will manage intelligence-related duties, contribute to performance monitoring, and ensure compliance with legislation such as the Data Protection Act and Human Rights Act. Your work will support a wide range of activities, from environmental crime and anti-social behaviour to fraud investigations and strategic planning. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

- You have proven administrative experience and are confident handling confidential and sensitive information in a secure and professional manner.
- You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and can quickly learn new software systems.
- You have strong analytical skills and can interpret complex information to support evidence-based decision-making.
- You are politically aware and able to manage interactions with senior officers and elected Members with professionalism and discretion.
- You are experienced in working collaboratively within teams and multi-agency partnerships to achieve positive outcomes.
