Are you a computing or IT professional with a passion for teaching? Do you want to use your industry knowledge to help learners build the digital skills that employers are looking for? If so, we would love to hear from you. This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE) offering a genuine opportunity to balance professional or personal commitments with meaningful, impactful teaching. Based at our Southgate campus, you will deliver high-quality sessions across a varied and forward-looking digital curriculum, including Level 3 ICT, T Levels and Apprenticeships. You will be joining a Computing department that is committed to continuous improvement and outstanding learner outcomes. You will work collaboratively with a curriculum team and quality assurance colleagues, supporting learners from enrolment through to successful achievement and progression into employment, higher education or further training.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality Computing and Digital sessions to a high standard, covering Level 3 ICT, T Levels and Apprenticeships, with teaching and learning approaches tailored to the needs of your learners.
- Monitor and track learner progress, provide timely feedback and support students to achieve their qualifications and progress to employment or further study.
- Act as Personal Tutor and/or Course Manager, monitoring attendance, liaising with parents, guardians and support agencies as needed.
- Prepare effective schemes of work, lesson plans and assessments that are flexible, inclusive and embed English, Maths and functional skills.
- Contribute to internal verification, quality assurance processes and compliance with awarding body requirements.
- Support the development of appropriate and safe work placement opportunities for learners.
- Participate in recruitment, enrolment, parents evenings, marketing events and other college-wide activities.
What You'll Bring
- A degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computing or a related discipline.
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one (e.g. PGCE/CertEd or equivalent).
- Successful teaching experience in Computing or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge within IT and Computing.
- Proven classroom management skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing workload effectively under pressure.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Even Better If You Have
- A professional or higher-level qualification in areas such as Cybersecurity.
- Relevant industry or commercial experience in IT or Computing.
- Experience embedding digital learning technologies into teaching.
- Knowledge of awarding body and quality assurance requirements.
- Experience of curriculum development and continuous improvement activity.
- Enthusiasm for innovation and a willingness to contribute to enrichment, marketing and recruitment activities.

Eye Tests for DSE Users: The College will refund the cost of regular eye tests for staff that use Display Screen Equipment regularly as part of their duties.
Flu vouchers: We offer established staff a free flu vaccination voucher to take to a large range of local high street pharmacies.
Gym Facilities: Our Sports Centre at Southgate Campus is available for all staff with cardio, strength and conditioning equipment. The 2-floor gym is free for members of staff to use Monday to Friday within term time.
Hair Salon Services and Beauty Treatments: A range of competitively-priced hairdressing services are accessible at our Colindale Campus. Regularly providing special staff offers which is convenient during lunch hours or after work.
High Street Discounts: Discount for teachers is a shopping benefits website for staff which gives access to fantastic savings on leading retail brands, plus lots of great special offers!
