The SEND and Transition Lead will be responsible for responding to local authority EHCP consultations timely, the identification of EHCP students and applicants requiring high needs funding within our specialist and mainstream provisions. The successful candidate will be required to support student success through ongoing monitoring and tracking of student progress and liaison with the wider college staff to enhance the quality of the student experience at the college, as well as supporting the planning and transition arrangements into further education, training, and employment.

The post holder remit includes the consultation and review process for Mainstream and Specialist Supported Learning provision. Experience of funding claims and determination of costs as well as clear understanding of the SEND Code of practice is required. Minimum qualification - i.e. relevant degree or equivalent with grades A*-C in English and Mathematics. Good experience of working effectively with centrally established computerised systems, including a good standard of word processing, database and spreadsheet skills. Proven ability to organise, manage and coordinate the collection and collation of large quantities of data to produce agreed outcomes and be able to keep all data confidential, complying with GDPR. The ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines is paramount, as is the ability to work well within a team.
