We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art & Design Course Leader & Teacher to lead and deliver our UAL Level 2 Art & Design programme. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator to inspire learners at an early stage in their creative journey, supporting them to develop confidence, technical skills and a strong foundation for progression into Level 3 or other creative pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • As Course Leader, you will take responsibility for the planning, delivery and quality assurance of the Level 2 Art & Design programme.
  • You will deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across a range of creative disciplines, ensuring students are well supported to achieve their full potential.
  • You will contribute to curriculum development, lead on assessment and feedback, monitor student progress and attendance, and ensure the programme meets UAL awarding body requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

About You: We are looking for someone who is passionate about art and design education and committed to student success, particularly at Level 2. You will have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Essential Requirements

  • BA (Hons) in Art & Design or a related creative discipline
  • Recognised UK teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching Art & Design at Level 2 or equivalent
  • A broad understanding of creative processes, materials and techniques
  • Competence in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital learning technologies
  • Experience of assessment and feedback within a vocational or portfolio-based curriculum
