We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and highly experienced teacher to deliver GCSE English Literature and Sociology on our GCSE Humanities Package programme. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning in the Foundation Learning Department. Our students are diverse in their experiences, learning, backgrounds and needs and so require an understanding, adaptive teacher to support them through their educational journeys. Successful candidates will join our inspirational, compassionate and supportive team at our Southgate Campus.
Experience of working with young people with EHCPs, mental health issues or NEET backgrounds useful. Subject specialisms required are GCSE English Literature and GCSE Sociology.
For all positions, successful candidates may be expected to teach on a range of subjects and programmes across the subject spectrums. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are essential for all roles. You will hold a hold a relevant degree qualification (or equivalent) and must possess a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or display a willingness to work towards achieving this.

About Barnet and Southgate College
Barnet and Southgate College is a further education college that works in partnership with local, regional and national employers to provide bespoke training specific to industry needs.
The College has a dedicated Enterprise and Employment team that works with a network of local employers and national companies to develop and provide training that meets their requirements and creates apprenticeship opportunities.
The College focuses on technology and business, offering a range of qualifications and professional development courses at specialised training centres.
Along with industry-led qualifications in business, childcare, health and social care and computing, the College also offers facilities to train in gas, plumbing and construction skills at the Colindale Campus; arts, new media, animation and VFX studios at the Wood Street Campus, and sports and electrical installation workshops at the Southgate Campus.
