Description
We are seeking a proactive and organised Industrial Placement Officer to join our college in London.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with employers, source high‑quality placement opportunities, and support students in securing meaningful industry experience.
They will work closely with curriculum teams to ensure placements meet course requirements and employer expectations, monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety standards.
Excellent communication, networking, and organisational skills are essential, along with a passion for helping young people achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to secure placement opportunities.
- Source, assess, and match students with suitable industry placements.
- Co‑ordinate with curriculum teams to align placements with course requirements.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate placement records, and report on outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to students throughout the placement process.
Qualifications
- Experience in employer engagement, careers, education, or work‑based learning is desirable.
- Strong communication, networking, and organisational abilities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety standards in an educational context.
