We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic English Lecturer to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills English to learners aged 16–18, as well as adult learners. You will be responsible for creating engaging, inclusive, and learner-centred lessons that inspire achievement and support progress. Please note, there are two 1 FTE vacancies available on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in GCSE English Language and Functional Skills English (Entry 3 – Level 1).
  • Personalise your approach to meet the diverse needs of learners, using a broad range of teaching methods and learning technologies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement, behaviour, and progression.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to a supportive team ethos.
  • Undertake key administrative tasks including lesson planning, assessment, tracking learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure full compliance with college policies and quality assurance processes.
