We are looking for a Junior Account Manager to join the team to assist in the day to day account management of marketing and advertising material for a range of specialist clients. Barnes Thompson is a full service thoroughbred Marketing and Advertising agency based in the home of horse racing, Newmarket, Suffolk, UK. Our clients are the market leaders in the international horse racing and breeding industry. We pride ourselves on building strong, long-term relationships with our clients, many of which have been maintained over decades.

What does the job involve…

  • Responding promptly to clients requests, managing expectations in terms of speed and delivery of response, using appropriate briefing/admin structures
  • Having contact with clients, developing and maintaining a close and productive relationship
  • Planning and managing advertising schedules for your clients and booking and sending adverts to relevant publications
  • Liaising with the design team who create the content clients require
  • Website and social media management
  • Some sales and admin responsibilities such as helping with video work may be required

As a junior account manager you’ll bring…

  • A keen interest and some knowledge of the global bloodstock industry or wider equestrian knowledge is required
  • A flexible attitude and approach
  • Excellent computer skills, with a knowledge of adobe suite being an advantage
  • Being able to work towards tight deadlines, and the ability to produce quality work under time pressure
  • Confident and personable character
  • Willingness to work weekends on a rotating schedule
  • Full driving licence

Due to the nature of the role, this is an office based position. Salary depending on experience.
