Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
Contract: Fixed Term, until 21st July 2027, 39 weeks per year
Hours: 11.25 hours per week
Salary: Scale 3 Point 6-7 (£25,989 - £26,403 FTE) Actual - £6,774 - £6,821

Responsibilities:
- Support a pupil on a 1-to-1 basis
- Work with small groups of pupils in the classroom setting
- Provide support across all five days, Monday to Friday, 1.00pm – 3.15pm
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to support learning in line with the National Curriculum
- Prepare and organise learning resources and activities for the pupil and small groups
- Manage behaviour and support pupil progression with a calm, patient, and flexible approach
Qualifications:
- Experience of supporting children in a school setting
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to support the child's medical and intimate care needs
- Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with significant needs
- Demonstrate patience, calmness, and flexibility at all times
- Commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A‑C or equivalent
- Good knowledge of ICT
- Flexibility and a good sense of humour
- Ability to use own initiative
- Willingness to undertake training and support individual needs
