We are currently looking to strengthen our Senior Site Management Team to undertake projects in and around Northeast Cambridge and West Norfolk.

Reporting to: Divisional Director
Location: The successful candidate will be ideally located on the Northwestern edge of our primary operating region of Suffolk, Essex & Cambridgeshire and easy reach of the A14 (Cambridge- Ipswich) or M11 (Cambridge-M25) to give easy access to our projects.
Contract type: Full time, permanent
Salary: competitive salary, contributory pension, profit based discretionary bonus, life assurance, annual leave, car allowance and private healthcare, together with generous allowances for travelling, overtime and working away from home.
Immediate colleagues: Site Team
Interfaces with other departments: Design, Surveying, Buying Departments, Document Control Team, Joint Divisional Managing Director

- Well-presented and distinguishable team leader, who demonstrates the ability to act as our key customer interface.
- A strong commitment to the business and its personal approach to contracting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with our clients and supply-chain alike.
- Highly self-motivated with a positive can-do approach to drive the project to a successful completion.
- Ability to assist a Contracts Manager and manage junior managers.
- Good team management and leadership skills.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running and organisation of the site.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems as they present themselves on site.
- Maintain ordered and accurate information and records on the project.
- Ability to travel within our operating area and lodge away when required.
Job role specific knowledge/experience required:
Time
- Ability to control the progression of the works by organising trades in accordance with the programme.
- Ability to develop short term programmes, considering risk management issues, ideally using ASTA software.
Cost
- Ability to understand and work within budgets.
- Control site costs through the careful review of supply-chain variation requests.
- Organise and control direct labour and sub-contractors in a timely and efficient manner.
Quality
- Ability to understand and follow drawings and specifications for the works and maintain good quality records of the works, ensuring that excellent quality/good craftsmanship is maintained.
Health & Safety
- Good knowledge of current Health & Safety law and practices.
- Ability to work to the site Health and Safety Plan and manage all onsite Health & Safety aspects.
- All relevant training, qualifications and permits such as CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid, Temporary Works Coordinator, asbestos awareness to manage the works are desirable.
