  • 1 week rotation on shifts
  • Dayshift 07:00 - 15:00 (Mon-Fri)
  • Backshift 15:00 - 23:00 (Mon-Thu) 15:00 - 22:00 (Fri)
  • Nightshift 23:00 – 07:00 (Mon-Thur)

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC milling machines
  • Interpret Engineering drawings, process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements
  • Interpret work instructions
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
  • Identify, select and set up tooling for operations being performed
  • Operate multiple machine tools and operations
  • Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections
  • Visually inspect final components
  • Use precision measuring instruments & gauging devices and perform various quality inspection type procedures to include dimensional verification
  • Assume responsibility for quality and functionality
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Maintain a team focused work environment
  • Responsible for general housekeeping and cleanliness of working area
  • Ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts
  • Seek out and identify Continuous Improvement opportunities
  • Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduce setup times and improve productivity

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience operating 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC milling machines
  • Strong understanding of G‑code and CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain)
  • Self‑directed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be time served in a machining discipline
  • Previous experience in similar industry is preferable (Aerospace)
  • Proven experience operating 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC Milling machines with various controls including Fanuc, Mazatrol & Heidenheim
  • Must be self‑motivated and possess facilitation skills to be used in a team setting
  • Prior experience with precision inspection equipment
  • Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances
