We are currently recruiting for an Insurance Specialist on behalf of our client, based in Hedge End. Our client is a leading specialist insurance broker providing commercial and personal customers with a range of services to meet individual needs. This is a permanent full-time role, with an opportunity for career progression with generous commission and bonus schemes. The role involves dealing with new commercial and non-standard inquiries, managing client accounts and does not include cold calling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering new commercial and non-standard insurance queries, via phone & email.
- Liaising between financial advisors and customers.
- Gathering related risk information & preparing quotes.
- No cold calling, all “hot” leads from customer enquiries.
- Managing your own customer accounts from start to renewal, including updating new insurance policies, mid-term changes to policy and queries.
- Communicating with insurers to acquire terms, develop relationships and ascertain premiums.
- Building new and overseeing existing connections with the introducing advisors from four key partners.
Experience required:
- Experience in an administrative environment.
- Strong and confident communication skills.
- Confident telephone skills and an active listener; able to control the call in a professional and assertive manner.
- Excellent team player.
- Organised and highly motivated; can be responsible for own workload.
- Positive approach to dealing with new inquiries in a timely fashion, with a can-do attitude.
- Recognising and dealing with opportunities in a manner that always strives for success.
