We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Associate to join our friendly team at Barnardo's Edinburgh Crighton Place Branch. This will be a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate, motivated, and keen to help raise funds to support the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK. As a Store Associate you will support the Store Manager, other Store Associates, and volunteers to help run a busy store, and you will have the opportunity to develop and learn within the store.
Store Location: 26 Crighton Place, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH7 4NY
Hours: 14 hours per week; Permanent β Part time
Key Responsibilities- Excellent Customer Service
- Visual Merchandising
- Helping to run the store when the Manager is absent.
- Organising Stock, Pricing and Stocking before going on the shop floor.
- Ensuring Stock is generated over the door by members of the public and ensuring donors sign up for gift aid.
- Implement any promotion in the store as directed by Head Office, Area Business Manager or Store Manager.
- Achieve and maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and cleanliness throughout the Store, including the sales floor and stockroom areas.
- Actively encourage the public to donate saleable stock.
- Rotate stock on a daily basis so that no garment remains on the shop floor for any longer than the agreed time limits.
- Experience of cash handling
- Working in a customer service environment
- Experience of working on own initiative
- Knowledge of working in a fashion environment
- Basic IT skills
