Barnardo's is looking for an exceptional Programme Delivery Manager to join our Transformation & Delivery team. In this key role, you'll lead the delivery of complex, high-impact programmes, ensuring strategic alignment, strong governance, and sustained momentum across multiple projects.
Location: Hybrid with occasional travel (minimum requirement to travel to London once per month)
Contract: Full-time fixed term for 6 months
What you'll do:
- Lead high-value, complex cross-directorate programmes aligned to Barnardo's strategic goals.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and change processes to keep delivery on track.
- Act as the key escalation point for programme-level issues.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across teams.
- Coach and mentor Delivery Managers, embedding Agile and benefits-led practices.
- The role includes line management responsibilities.
What we're looking for:
- Formal qualifications in programme management (MSP, APM PMQ, AgilePM).
- Proven experience delivering large, multi-workstream programmes in complex environments with ambitious timescales and deliverables.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to influence and engage across all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to drive performance and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
- Prior experience of system implementation and systems development, ideally Dynamics D365.
