This post will primarily be based at 2a High Street in Lancaster. Supported Accommodation Services in Lancashire Barnardo's provides supported accommodation to young people aged 16-24 across various sites in Lancashire. The service aims to provide young people with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for independent living. The young people who live in our accommodation are from a range of backgrounds and are often either in the process of Leaving Care or have experienced homelessness.
The service that this post links to is:
- 2a High Street – this service is based in the centre of Lancaster and provides accommodation and support for 7 young people at any one time.
- Mariner's View – this service is based in the centre of Lancaster and is comprised of 11 self-contained flats, supporting 11 young people at any one time.
- Coulston Road – this service provides accommodation and visiting support for 3 young people at any one time within a shared house.
We wish to recruit a member of staff so that we can continue to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Working Hours: 1 x 10 hrs per week post (ideally 2 hours per day for 5 days per week) – working days and times can be negotiated.
Initial Specific Responsibilities:
- Internal Window Cleaning
- Sanitise desks/surfaces/phones
- Empty Bins – recycle
- Hallway, stairs, landing floor vacuumed and mopped
- Hallway vacuumed
- IT suite vacuumed & surfaces sanitised
- Residents Lounge – vacuumed, surfaces wiped and sanitised
- Staff Toilet: Sanitise toilet & wash basin & floor – replenish toilet rolls
- Kitchen – sanitise work surfaces, vacuum
- Project Office - sanitise desks/surfaces/phones, vacuum floor and empty bins
- Remove marks from walls (where possible)
- Sanitise the handrails
- Daily thorough clean and sanitise of the communal kitchens
- Daily thorough clean of shared young peoples' bathroom
- Sanitising deep cleans of bedrooms and en-suites in preparation for them being re-let to a different young person.
- Requirement to report any Health & Safety issues to Management
- Requirement to undertake all necessary training
