About the Service: Barnardo's, the UK's largest children's charity, is proud to be working in partnership with Leicestershire County Council on an innovative journey to deliver a network of children's homes for the county's most vulnerable young people. • Collaborating with parents/carers and professionals to ensure holistic support.
  • Leading shifts and supervising staff to maintain high standards of care.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with audits and operational duties.
  • Contributing to the daily running of the home, including cooking and cleaning.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment at all times.

What We're Looking For: To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the following in your application:

  • A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services, or a willingness to work towards it.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Children's Residential setting and at least 1 year of supervisory and shift-leading experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards, with the ability to support the home in achieving an "Outstanding" rating.
  • Experience in safeguarding, recording, and reporting to protect children and young people.

If you are passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces for young people and want to be part of a forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you!
