We are looking to recruit as and when staff to support across both of our residential services, offering a variety of shifts: day shift, back shift, night shift, and sleepovers. Glasgow 16+ service has been operational in Glasgow for 30 years, primarily as a housing support service to young people with care experience from local authority. The service is for young people ages 16-26, offering residential and community housing options. Onslow Drive is a residential service operating in the east end of Glasgow for over 8 years, home to three young people who need intensive support. Support is offered in a nurturing environment to help the young person mature into young adults. The young people are supported to reach their goals and aspirations in a trauma-informed way, a rights-based approach, and in line with the values and basis of Barnardo's. Support is both practical and emotional.

We are looking for individuals who can support the operations of the service and ensure that it can operate during periods of staff absence. You will be part of the team and will work on building relationships, nurturing, and supporting the young people within the service to achieve their goals. The service is looking for motivated individuals committed to supporting and caring for the young people in our service. We seek individuals who can offer nurture and support during both good times and challenging times, respect the unique individuality of every young person, and be creative and determined to help them reach their goals and fulfil their potential.

Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band – this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours. Those working less than full time are entitled to the same level of holiday pro rata.
