At Barnardo's Falkirk, we are proud to deliver a wide range of innovative, trauma-informed services across Falkirk that support children, young people, and families by helping to build resilience, strengthen relationships, reduce level of risk and harm and improve long-term outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a diverse locality model, contributing to several specialist services and gaining broad, meaningful experience in family support.
This post's base will be at our Falkirk office; however, we operate a locality model and staff may be required to deliver support and services across the Forth Valley area in line with service needs.
About you
- We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and skilled practitioner who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families.
- You will bring:
- Experience and skills of working with children, young people, and families, particularly those facing adversity or complex needs
- A strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding
- Knowledge of the Promise and rights-based practice
- Skills in building positive, trusting relationships and engaging individuals in meaningful support
- Experience of group work, one-to-one therapeutic support and family-based interventions
- The ability to work flexibly across services and adapt to a varied and dynamic role
- Confidence in multi-agency working and partnership collaboration
- A commitment to empowering families and amplifying the voices of children and young people
