Deputy Manager – Children's Home – Join us at the start of something special

We're working in partnership with London Borough of Bromley opening a brand-new children's home and we're looking for a compassionate and skilled Deputy Manager to help bring it to life.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a nurturing, trauma-informed environment from the very beginning. Our home is grounded in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy). These approaches shape our culture, relationships, and daily practice, and we're seeking a Deputy who shares our commitment to relational, child-centred care.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Registered Manager in leading the home
  • Model and embed DDP and PACE principles in daily practice
  • Supervise and support staff to deliver trauma-informed care
  • Lead shifts and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Contribute to quality assurance and Ofsted readiness
  • Champion child participation and relational approaches
  • Step into leadership when the Registered Manager is absent

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in residential childcare (Level 3 Diploma minimum; Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge
  • Emotional resilience
  • Ability to lead shifts and support staff effectively
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred care
  • A calm, reflective, and relational approach to leadership
  • To meet a genuine occupational requirement, candidates must be a minimum age of 22.
