Early Help Service Administrator will work within two services: Autism and Yardley & Hodge Hill.

The Autism programme delivers support to parents, carers, children and young people to enhance skills and abilities.

The Yardley & Hodge Hill provision builds capacity within local communities so that children, young people and families have access to the right support at the right time before issues and concerns escalated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and maintain a large amount of service user data across systems and trackers, ensuring accuracy, consistency and data integrity.
  • Process a large number of incoming referrals received from across Birmingham from multiple sources, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date records across systems and following up on any missing or unclear data as required.
  • Update systems and trackers promptly to reflect closures, status changes and progress notes.
  • Run reports and collate data to support quarterly contract monitoring and performance reporting; analyse data and provide more effective ways of working.
  • Provide flexible staff support, assisting with day‑to‑day operational tasks and sharing information as required.
  • Deal with sensitive and confidential information, initiate and maintain office systems, and work independently to resolve issues.
  • Monitoring and Quality of Service
  • Act appropriately and within policy & procedure with any representation or complaints from any source, in a fully compliant and professional manner to ensure concerns are addressed, resolved and documented in line with relevant Children’s Services Policies.
  • Safeguarding – ensure active engagement is maintained in the interests of the child at all levels and that all issues are dealt with comprehensively and compliantly with Barnardo’s policy and procedures.
  • Apply a culture of safe and effective practice; attend team meetings, prepare and contribute to supervision with line manager and reflect on practice and learning.
