Administrative Assistant – Mental Health Support Teams (MHST)

Additional Information

  • Morecambe Bay – 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 2:30 pm).
  • Primary office base: Barrow, with occasional work in Furness and Kendal.

Role Overview

As an Administrative Assistant you will support the Moving Mindsets MHST team by providing efficient administrative support, ensuring smooth operation of the service, and managing coordination with schools, colleges and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of statistical reports.
  • Input information such as absences and timesheets.
  • Process referrals received by the service.
  • Provide administrative support to managers and project staff.
  • Ensure confidentiality requirements are managed appropriately.
  • Provide cover for other mental health services when required.
  • Order resources for office locations.
  • Coordinate meetings and training sessions, communicating with venues as necessary.
  • Accurately document meeting proceedings through minute-taking.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • At least 2 years’ experience providing administrative support.
  • Ability to work independently and on initiative.
  • Flexibility to work across the South Cumbria locality as required.

Desirable Requirements

  • Administrative support experience in health, education, care or charity organisations.
  • Experience maintaining social media.
