Key responsibilities
- Deliver a curriculum aligned with Te Whāriki
- Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning programs that respond to children's strengths and interests
- Create inclusive, equitable learning opportunities that celebrate diversity
- Document children's learning through profile books and e-portfolios as needed
Qualifications and experience
- Early childhood teaching qualification recognised by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa, New Zealand (required)
- Current Teaching Council of Aotearoa, New Zealand Practising Certificate (required)
- Experience working as a teacher in an early childhood education team setting
- Ability to use initiative and adapt to new environments quickly
- Commitment to quality practice and the principles of Te Whāriki
- Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills
- Enthusiasm for making a difference in children's early years
- Strong desire to build connections with whānau and families
