We are a well-established, well-resourced nursery situated just outside Holmfirth, Yorkshire. A happy team is vital to providing the best care to children and we are dedicated to valuing and rewarding our staff.
We are looking for a new Room Leader due to the upcoming retirement of the current member of staff.
Room Leader Role
We would love to hear from you if you are ready for the next step in your career and you are someone who:
- could lead, inspire and mentor a small existing team delivering quality care in our cosy Baby Room
- would be confident acting as key person for around 6 children (we use "Tapestry" but full training will be given if you've not used this before)
- is nurturing about maintaining and improving a warm, safe, nurturing "home from home" environment for children under two years
- would welcome the opportunity to contribute to our Management Team (of 5 other people) to further your personal development and career progression
What we are looking for in a Room Leader:
- Full and relevant UK recognised Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years (or above)
- A confident Early Years Educator with some leadership experience looking for promotion to Room Leader or an existing Room Leader wanting a new challenge or fresh experience
- Strong safeguarding, EY SEA and child development knowledge
- Good communication, organisation and team working skills
- Positive outlook on overcoming challenges
- A warm and enthusiastic person who can work with existing staff and build close relationships with parents and children
- Genuine commitment to the best possible care and education of babies and young children
- Someone who loves the outdoors, getting messy and helping little learners grow
