There are two positions available for this role across two different sites based in Fareham.
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday 7.5-hour days (Core working hours are 10am - 4pm) Flexitime within this providing core hours are met. Hybrid working 2 days from home.

We are thrilled to be recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our client in Fareham. Our client is a fast growing, award winning structural engineering and transport planning consultancy. As Senior Civil Engineer, you will develop and manage the creation of complex technical designs, and project manage various schemes across a diverse range of clients. In the role of Senior Civil Engineer, you will be involved in a multitude of projects at various stages in their project lifecycle, from appraisal to construction, in various sectors including residential and commercial.
Duties and Responsibilities for Senior Civil Engineer:
- Undertake and manage team resource for design work and be responsible for writing fee proposals
- Manage, prepare and control costs/budgets of multiple and larger engineering tasks or projects
- Manage quality processes and contribute to quality improvements
- Manage engineering activities that contribute to sustainable development
- Mentoring and training of junior staff and support other departments where required
- Develop marketing and business development material appropriate to the role
- Identify opportunities for bringing work into the business
About You: / Experience required:
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) [or working towards] with the Institution of Civil Engineers
- A degree or HND in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years consultancy experience, working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of residential, commercial and retirement/care schemes
- Civil engineering project management experience and varied experience working on schemes through the planning process; from pre-app through to condition discharge
- Ability to work and make decisions independently, exercising sound independent engineering judgement.
- Manage design risks and demonstrate a sound knowledge of legislation, hazards and safe systems of work
- Communicate well with others at all levels including effective use of English, orally and in writing
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software
