Job Type: Permanent Full Time

Salary: Competitive

Location: Fareham

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours Mon-Fri 7.5-hour days (Core working hours are 10-4)

We are thrilled to be recruiting for a Highways Officer to join our client in Fareham. Our client is a fast-growing, award-winning structural engineering and transport planning consultancy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write, check and approve technical reports
  • Good understanding of modelling packages and methodologies
  • Support preparation of and approve technical drawings where appropriate
  • Attendance as expert witness at appeal hearings and/or public inquiries
  • Project manage schemes, including budget and time management
  • Assist with training and mentoring members of staff
  • Develop and inform Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and team strategies
  • Represent the company at external meetings/events with clients

About You: / Experience required:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years transport planning experience
  • Extensive Transport Planning experience
  • Experience in managing/training members of staff
  • Experience of working with computer-based systems including Microsoft programmes
