We are looking for a KS Leader, with class responsibility (Yr 5), who would like to be a part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and experienced Primary School teacher to join our dedicated team at Barming. As a KS Leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping and supporting your KS to ensure all children make good progress and attainment.
Responsibilities
Curriculum Development:
-
Support Key Stage staff to get the best possible outcomes from the children.

Acknowledge wellbeing time and the importance this has on the learning abilities of our children.

To work alongside SLT to discuss the needs of the curriculum to ensure it always matches the needs of the children and to cascade this through KS2.
Student Engagement:
-
Implement strategies to promote a love for learning.
-
Organise and coordinate KS2 related activities, events, and competitions.

To uphold the schools’ policies to ensure all children follow our school rules and core values.
Assessment and Data Analysis:

Oversee the development and implementation of effective assessment strategies to track progress.

Analyse assessment data to inform teaching practises and identify areas for improvement.
Parent and Community Engagement:
-
Communicate effectively with parents regarding KS2 matters.

Collaborate with the wider community to enhance English learning opportunities across the school.
Professional Development:
-
Engage in continuous professional development and share knowledge with colleagues.

Work alongside the SLT to ensure the school continues to move forward., Barming Pre-School and Primary School is a member of the Orchard Academy Trust family of schools and is made up of Allington Primary School and Barming Pre-School and Primary School. We cater for 2 – 11 year olds. It is a well-equipped two-form entry primary school serving the village of Barming (and surrounding areas) on the edge of Maidstone. We have approximately 466 children in purpose built accommodation, including shared resource and work areas, corridor libraries and a computer suite. Our school has a large site which provides admirably for our social and academic work. We strive for a provision committed to enabling every child to become the very best they can be, encouraging high expectations and working hard to achieve the very best for everyone in our school.

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Willingness to engage in CPD such as NPQs.
Understanding that working as part of team is crucial to good progress and attaintment
Strong knowledge of primary school curriculum and assessment methods
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate both pupils and colleagues.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
