Welcome to Barlows (UK) Ltd., a multi-disciplined specialist contractor located in Malpas, Chadderton, Lancaster, High Wycombe, and Leeds. We specialize in providing and maintaining a high standard of workmanship for our clients, from superior design and specification to quality installations, compliance, and maintenance.

This is a full‑time role for an Electrician, located on‑site in and around the North West / Cheshire area. The Electrician will be responsible for carrying out mainly electrical installations, also maintenance and repair work, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires a proactive approach to problem‑solving and effective communication with team members and clients.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Electrical Work, including installation and maintenance tasks
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
  • Knowledge and experience in Electrical Engineering principles inclusive of but not exclusive to, Primary containment, ladder, cable tray, Trunking, basket, conduit both galvanised and PVC, wiring in singles, PVC/PVC cables and SWAs.
  • Ability to perform routine Maintenance & Repair of electrical systems
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
