As Barlow Tyrie continues to develop its presence in the UK and Ireland, they are looking for an accomplished sales professional to drive the next stage of growth.

The Opportunity:

Responsible for the UK and Ireland, the successful candidate will inherit an established and successful customer portfolio including quality independent garden centres, garden centre groups, landscape designers, architects and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Agree and deliver an annual sales plan for the UK and Ireland.
  • Report progress, opportunities and forecasts regularly to the Sales Director.
  • Maintain a structured programme of customer visits, ensuring all key accounts are met on an agreed cadence.
  • Strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities to increase sales and market share.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with suitable retail customers and within the architect and design community.
  • Develop relationships with landscape architects, garden designers and other relevant specifiers.
  • Maximise the value of trade events through proactive meeting planning and customer engagement.

Candidate Profile:

You will be a polished and credible sales professional with the communication skills to represent a premium brand. You will understand how to build long-term commercial relationships and possess the drive and capability to grow an already successful business across the UK and Ireland.

You Are Likely To Bring:

  • A home location in the South of England, with easy access to the motorway network and a willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland.
  • Experience within garden centres, outdoor living, furniture, interiors or other premium product sectors is preferred.
  • Strong commercial awareness, highly numerate with attention to detail.
  • A proven track record of delivering sales growth and achieving targets.
  • A natural talent for sales: able to listen, understand customer needs, present compelling solutions and successfully convert opportunities.
  • Confidence selling premium products and articulating value rather than competing on price.

Salary/Benefits Information:

As well as a negotiable basic salary the job holder will receive an annual performance-based bonus, fully expensed company car, company credit card, mobile, laptop, 3% pension contribution, 21 days paid holiday and substantial product discounts.
