My client requires a talented and ambitious COMPLIANCE OFFICER to support the Head of Compliance in the provision of regulatory advice, risk reporting and monitoring of the key controls and risks to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Compliance in the delivery of compliance reports to the business; coordinating, collating and presenting conduct metrics and inputs
  • Lead on all second line monitoring activity including customer journey reviews, second line monitoring and key risk/control reviews
  • Own the delivery of responses to client audits and information requests, with any associated follow up activities coordinated and delivered as appropriate
  • Support with the performance of ongoing horizon scanning activity; including logging and documenting events, plus their potential impacts and considerations
  • Assist with regulatory gap analysis in response to proposed regulatory or business change
  • Provide support to the Head of Compliance with performance of advice and guidance
  • Collate accurate information to meet regulatory reporting requirements as required
  • Offer \'SME\' advice and support to the business in relation to all internal projects
  • Support with any breaches and incidents as required, using the Risk Management system
  • Deputise for Head of Compliance in matters relating to Compliance and Data Protection

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Good knowledge of regulation and guidance applicable to retail financial services - including FCA, Data Protection, OFCOM, CCA and CSA Code of Practice
  • Experience gained in a dedicated compliance role within an FCA regulated firm
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative to drive activities and meet critical deadlines
  • Calm under pressure, good team player and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style and approach to different scenarios and stakeholders
  • Adaptable to changing business demands; willing to challenge the \'status quo\'
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
  • Well presented, good attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills
