Barkwell is looking for a motivated individual to join our Estimation Team, playing a key role in delivering accurate and competitive project estimates for new-build plumbing and heating systems.
About the Role
- Review and analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for plumbing and heating projects.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with design and procurement teams to align estimates with project objectives.
- Identify risks and propose value-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of tenders, quotes, and project details.
- Respond to client queries regarding project costs.
- Attend project site starts to provide insight into costings and estimates.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in estimation, plumbing, heating, or a related field (advantageous).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with installation on Airconditioning would be advantageous.
