Barkston Plastics Group is a long-established UK manufacturer and plastic engineering business, founded in 1969. We are now looking to appoint a Head of Sales & Marketing to lead and develop our group-wide commercial strategy.

This is a hands-on senior leadership role with responsibility for driving sales performance, leading marketing activity, and building a structured, data-led commercial function to support long-term growth.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver the group sales and marketing strategy
  • Lead, coach, and manage internal and external sales and marketing activity
  • Own KPIs, forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline
  • Manage key accounts and identify new market opportunities
  • Lead digital marketing, campaigns, brand development, exhibitions, and events
  • Work closely with operations and finance to ensure commercial alignment
  • Produce accurate reports and track ROI on marketing spend
About you:
  • Proven commercial leader with experience in manufacturing or engineering
  • Strong background in sales, marketing, or combined commercial roles
  • Strategic thinker who is also hands-on and delivery-focused
  • Confident with CRM systems, forecasting, and performance management
  • Knowledge of plastics is an advantage, but not essential
