Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist – Pelvic Health, Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Closing date: 23 October 2025.
Main duties of the job
To perform advanced holistic physiotherapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a clinical diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment plan.
To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a Senior Therapist is available as required. Supervision takes the form of regular informal/formal discussion and teaching, clinical reasoning sessions and peer review.
To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of less experienced physiotherapist and assistants, this would be to a graduate standard and involve working with the Senior Therapist, as required, to ensure the standards of practice of the department are met.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 94,000 scans a year.
The majority of our 8,000 staff – who come from 146 different countries – live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many can work flexibly and more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited apprenticeship programmes. We\\\’re proud to be a London Living Wage employer.

Job responsibilities
Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks.
