Overview

You will work as an integral part of the Neonatal Intensive Care team, coordinating facilities services in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment. This is a non-patient facing housekeeper role within the NICU.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all patient facilities services in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
  • Deliver cleaning, stock equipment, order stores, catering and other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the sister/charge nurse.
  • Work closely with contractors and support service departments; monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and take appropriate action in consultation with the nurse in charge.
  • Provide support and assistance to nursing staff through the delivery of holistic care for patients.
  • Act under direct instruction from the Registered Nurse.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • This is a non-patient facing housekeeper role within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
