What You’ll Be Doing
As a Lecturer in Performing & Production Arts, you'll deliver inspiring, learner‑centred teaching across a range of Performing and Production Arts programmes.
You'll help learners develop the practical, technical and professional skills they need to progress into higher education or careers within the creative industries.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment across Performing & Production Arts programmes.
- Plan engaging lessons using innovative, flexible and blended learning approaches that motivate learners.
- Assess learner work, including major projects, providing timely, constructive feedback and support throughout the assessment process.
- Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and complete all teaching administration effectively.
- Provide personal tutoring, coaching and pastoral support to help learners achieve their goals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives and learner recruitment activities.
- Participate in open events, enrichment activities, study trips, course team meetings and wider College initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment while keeping up to date with current Performing & Production Arts industry practice.
- What We’re Looking For
We're looking for an enthusiastic and creative educator who can bring industry knowledge, energy and passion into the classroom.
- You Will Ideally Have
- A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Performing & Production Arts or a relevant subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
- Recent experience teaching Performing & Production Arts programmes.
- Current or recent industry experience within Performing & Production Arts would be advantageous.
- Excellent teaching, learning and assessment skills, with the ability to adapt delivery to different learning styles.
- Strong organisational, IT and administrative skills with experience of maintaining accurate learner records.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, alongside the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and creating an inclusive learning environment.
- A passion for continuous professional development and learner enrichment activities.
