Are you a current Lecturer - SEND looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking college? We're recruiting for a Lecturer - SEND to join our team on a sessional, hourly-paid basis, term-time only, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £14.16 to £24.74 per hour, including London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop lessons, including the development of schemes of work.
  • Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students.
  • Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students.
  • Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standards in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply.
  • Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them in their own development and future progression.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students.
  • Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors.
  • All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
