We are recruiting for a Lecturer – ESOL to join our team on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role is based at our accessible Rush Green Campus.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop lessons, including the development of schemes of work.
  • Develop and implement learner‑centred assessment methods, focusing on constructive and developmental feedback for our students.
  • Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students.
  • Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standards in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply.
  • Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students to support their own development and future progression.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students.
  • Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector.

Our ideal Lecturer – ESOL should have:

  • Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sector.
  • Or have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course you will be delivering, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support as part of our Passport to Teaching programme.

All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students\’ attendance, progress and achievements.
