What You'll Be Doing As a Lecturer - Business, you will deliver engaging and inclusive sessions to learners, supporting them to develop practical literacy skills for work, further study and everyday life. Please note this role is 10.8 hours per week on a fixed term basis until 9th July 2027. You will:
- Develop engaging schemes of work tailored to learners with diverse starting points
- Use learner-centred teaching and assessment strategies to drive progress and achievement
- Provide clear, constructive feedback that builds confidence and promotes independence
- Monitor and track attendance, progress and achievement, implementing timely interventions where required
- Support learners with varying barriers to education, creating an inclusive and motivating classroom environment
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring provision remains relevant to employment and progression pathways
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge of education policies and practice
We are looking for a passionate and committed Lecturer - Business specialist who understands the transformational impact of further education.
You should have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
- In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Experience teaching Business within Further Education
- The ability to teach across all levels and have industry background.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
- The ability to differentiate effectively for mixed-ability groups
- Experience tracking and monitoring learner progress using digital systems
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing

- A competitive salary of £26,514 - £46,307 per annum to be pro-rated to 10.8 hours per week, inclusive of London weighting, dependent on qualifications and experience.
